Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the people of Devon and help save lives! It’s a great way to give something back to your local community by sparing as little as one hour a week.

Volunteers are crucial in helping us create a welcoming, friendly and accessible store; a great place for shoppers and donors to visit time and time again. If you have great communication skills, the ability to get along with people and enjoy being part of a friendly team in a very sociable, supportive environment, we would love to hear from you!

Primarily we are keen to find volunteers who will confidently support our front of house operation with till operation and customer service. We are very proud of our unique bridal section, so a talent or interest in wedding items would be great too but not essential. Other tasks may include:

• Merchandising and display.
• Preparing donations for sale.
• Stock control, rotation and sorting.
• Organising books, dvds and games.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both customers, and fellow volunteers.
• No experience is necessary as full training and an induction will be given.

This is a flexible role to fit with your lifestyle and around other commitments. Whether you can offer one hour or one day, your time and support are hugely valuable. Our retail operating hours vary but most are 9-5 pm Monday to Saturday with some shops opening on Sundays & bank holidays.
