John and Sandra Phillips pay tribute to the memory of their daughter, whom we cared for 21 years ago.

Donating in memory can be a wonderful way to celebrate a loved one’s life and pay tribute to causes they were close to.

John and Sandra Phillips have been donating in memory of their daughter for almost 21 years and recently left a tribute to her in our Memory Garden.

At just 26, Michelle was involved in a road traffic collision on the North Devon link road near Rackenford. Despite the best efforts of the emergency responders, including the Devon Air Ambulance crew, sadly, Michelle died.

Michelle’s mother, Sandra said:

‘We lost our lovely young 26-year-old Daughter, Michelle Marie Phillips, in Devon in 2004. We obviously miss and love her so very much and know we will never get over this, but we live for her now too, as we know she would want us to do and to try and live life like she did.’

We do like to talk about her all the time as she was so lovely and is missed and still loved very, very much by us all.

Michelle’s parents are now both members of the RoadPeace charity and Sandra volunteers as a befriender.

Thank you, John and Sandra, for continuing to donate to Devon Air Ambulance in memory of your beautiful daughter, for leaving a touching tribute in our ‘Memory Garden’, and for sharing your story with us.

The knowledge that your support helps us to continue our time-critical work may provide you with some comfort.
