We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donates to our high street shops. Your gifts help to keep our service responding.
Keeping our helicopters in the air, Critical Care Cars on the road and our crews responding to incidents across Devon and beyond takes more than just a dedicated team of professionals.
We rely on the incredible support and generous donations of the entire county of Devon and if you’re reading this, that probably means you too!
We continue to be amazed and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of donated goods that are regularly brought into our 20 charity shops across Devon, from Lego sets and books to an incredible Jaguar XKR!
Donating your unwanted items such as clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brac is a great way of supporting the charity’s vital work and allows us to continue improving our service by expanding our fleet of vehicles and equipping crew members with the latest in life saving technology.
Lee Rawlings, Devon Air Ambulance Shop Manager, says:
The equation is simple, the money that we raise in our charity shops supports the Air Ambulance, which saves lives. It’s as simple as that.”
There are hundreds of charity shops in Devon, but when you choose to donate items to, or purchase from, a Devon Air Ambulance charity shop, you’re investing directly into the local economy, providing jobs and volunteer work for the local community, and demonstrating a commitment to the health and wellbeing of your cream first, jam second, Devon family.
Pete Vallance, Head of Business Development, says:
The donations that we receive, and purchases made in our charity shops, play a crucial role in keeping our service running. As a charity, not only are we committed to ending preventable deaths, but we are also dedicated to supporting our local economies and playing an active role in high streets across Devon. So, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to visit our shops, your support is helping to save lives and contributing Devon’s brighter future.”
It’s thanks to your incredible generosity that we’re able to attend incidents from the highest wind-swept peaks of Dartmoor and Exmoor to the bustling city streets of Plymouth and Exeter, stretching all the way out to the bucolic farmyards and chocolate box hamlets nestled among Devon’s extraordinary landscape. We couldn’t do it without you!
And don’t forget – if you are a UK Taxpayer, be sure to Gift Aid any donated items as this enables our charity to claim a further 25p from every £1 sold.
