‘We know that Devon Air Ambulance is a great place to work but to receive this national recognition is a huge testament to our fantastic staff who work tirelessly to ensure that our service is available for anyone who should need it. This is very much an award and recognition for every single member of our work family, whom I would like to congratulate and thank for their dedication to the charity and service.’
Heléna Holt, CEO of Devon Air Ambulance, added:
‘Because of the nature of the service we provide we operate within rigorous rules and regulations set by the Care Quality Commission, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Charity Commission among others. We have to operate professionally and to high standards across all aspects of our work.’
We believe in investing in our people, from ensuring they have the right skills and equipment to do their jobs well to the right learning and development opportunities to fulfil their own aspirations and potential. I’m very proud of our team; every member knows the role they play in helping to save lives. We never rest on our laurels though and we are always working to improve across all our activities.
Founder and CEO of the Top 100 Best Companies, Jonathan Austin said:
‘I would like to congratulate Devon Air Ambulance on achieving a Two Star Accreditation and being named as one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work for. Best Companies has been acknowledging excellence in the workplace since 2006 when we launched our Michelin style accreditation standard. We are proud to work with organisations like Devon Air Ambulance who focus on their people and as such have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that they’re a best company to work for.’
It is entirely thanks to our supporters that we are able to deliver the service every day of the year. If you would like to get involved in supporting your local air ambulances, whether you would like to volunteer, set up a regular donation or donate to our shops, we’d love to hear from you.
