We are fortunate to enjoy the support of many businesses, past and present, that are an integral part of our fundraising support mix. We have sometimes been lucky enough to be nominated Charity of the Year, or businesses have lent their support through match funding their employees’ fundraising activities. Others have sponsored our own fundraising events, or offered donations of gifts in kind, raffle prizes or pro-bono professional services.

South West Hygiene (SWH) is one of those businesses. They are a family company providing expert washroom services across the South of England. Their hard work, care and quality of service provision is reflected through long-term relationships with their clients and we are very happy to be supported by them again this year.

SWH has an extensive range of efficient and affordable washroom products including commercial hand dryers and sanitary bins, plus specialist waste disposal services and hazardous waste disposal, they really do have it all covered.

We were lucky enough to receive the support of SWH in 2022 when they waived their annual fees allowing us to put those funds to use saving lives. We were absolutely thrilled when we discovered that the team at SWH had agreed to continue to provide our clinical waste collection services free of charge for a second year, saving us £3k-£4k per year in charges!

It really is an incredible gesture for a company like South West Hygiene to support us in this way. We are talking about a substantial amount of money kindly donated to our charity that will now help to keep our crews responding. We can’t thank the team at SWH enough for this very generous support.

Head of Sales and Marketing at SWH, Nick Hunt said:

We at South West Hygiene strongly believe in supporting the community where we can and are very proud to be able to offer our services free of charge to Devon Air Ambulance since the beginning of 2022. It is highly important for us to be able to support the Air Ambulance, as it allows any money that would normally be spent on this provision to be used on more vital services that the Air Ambulance offers.

SWH also shows it support to the local BCHA homeless shelter and the Devon and Cornwall Backyard event, raising funds for Bowel Cancer West.
